I was wondering what other people think here, when it comes to paper toys there's a whole world of stuff we do not have here but I don't want to add them if they will be deemed inappropriate & removed. However I think if nothing else there should be some allowed such as the awesome paper toys of Shin Tanaka
Discussion please :D

Not to make what is sure to be a polarizing arguement more difficult, but — as someone that does love paper toy patterns — it might be too tricky of an area to navigate. Take Chris Ware for instance: He's already in our system for his designer toys and art prints, but he's done paper toy patterns as well, that have been published in the back of his ACME Novelty Library comic books… so, in order to include his paper toy patterns, would we then allow his comics to be inputed? It opens up a slippery path, for sure.

NO to paper toys! In my opinion a few good homemade papertoys like the ones from Shin Tanaka don't justify to open the floodgates for tons of crappy ones. If we start this we also have to include mc donald's happy meal boxes. In my opinion this plattform is mainly aimed at collectors of art and correct me if i am wrong but i don't think the upcoming "marketplace" will have much use for self printed papertoys. but that's just my opinion and as i said before i am not a fan of adding things just to "complete" the library. for me it's more quality over quantity! let's see what the other trampsters think about this

I haven't seen paper toys...are they similar to book art (carving books to make art)? Or are they like vintage paper dolls?

trustpigs m Paper toys tend to be like those old "cut 'em out and glue 'em together" crafts projects. The toy, in this instance, is the pattern itself… which is typically distributed for free. about 12 years ago
Easily_Amused Ohh,,, that would be cool to get. My cube needs many decorations and distractions to keep me from going insane and I think the paper toys will do nicely. about 12 years ago
@ Miles: While I somewhat agree with you, the same argument can be made for licensed figures (look for the my little pony in the library). I have paper toys by Sjors Trimbach that were not available to be downloaded, only for sale in runs of 15 per character. If I remember correctly from the older Shin Tanaka ones I have they were released as 'digital blind boxed' and were only available for a short period of time. Of course this is just a discussion & I recognize you are not the only person who will have these views, hence the request for discussion as opposed to me just uploading them based on my opinion :)
