A child from the 70's, Izze's life changed dramatically after being exposed to Hip Hop culture at an early age. As someone who was heavily involved in the Break Dancing (B-Boying) explosion of 1983, he had learned a little about New York Style Subway graffiti from movies like Beat Street and books like Subway Art. Growing up in Spring Valley California, there weren’t any subways to paint but there were plenty of lots. In 1992 he was asked to be part of a new crew called Wild Style Technicians which consisted of recognized "letter smiths" and who’s mission was to promote, protect, and pay homage to the original styles of NYC Graffiti. Over the years WST expanded from the original crew; Zone, DazeRoc, Zodak, Sase, and Izze to also include other established artists including Saratoga Sake, Kool Sphere, Pesa, Stae 2, Duel, and Perve.
