I can't believe I forgot to post this sooner. There is a robot-shaped void in my life and tomorrow as I stroll Culver City for Luke Chueh's solo show: Random Acts of Sadness at CHG Circa, I'll also be stopping by the original Corey Helford Gallery for the latest work from Eric Joyner. The show, First World Problems, features his trademark robots, filling the quaint cafes and local shops of their classic robot town. The show promises 16 new oil paintings of "robot neo realities" loaded with vintage signs and old toys that bring to life this retro-futuristic world. An opening recemtion will be held tomorrow, Saturday August 10th at 7pm. The exhibition will remain on display until September 7th.
