The Twins: Sunrise

A whimsical and playful scene with two cartoon-like characters. The character on the left appears to be a muscular figure holding a large golden ball. The background is a light yellow with fluffy white clouds, giving the scene a cheerful and lighthearted atmosphere.Born into the greyness of England at the end of the Seventies, by the age of four Jon-Paul Kaiser knew that what he wanted to do in life was a draw. From that point he rarely strayed from that path; scribbling and doodling his way through School, College and University. After working with Porlzilla, Jon-Paul decided to go it alone concentrating at first on the toy customization scene, building up a name and strong reputation for himself with his stark Black & White custom style, influenced by comic book art, film noir & Ukiyo-e prints. This lead to him being approached by established toy producers for designs for their platform toys. Principally amongst these are Toy2R who have released numerous JPK Platforms. "Reveries" sees a new chapter in the artists work. Using only his own sculptures and figures, he explores the theme of nostalgia; presented by surreal characters and scenes, each depicting as well as subverting classic art tropes. Influences on this selection of work includes history, fine art and colonialism, as well as looking at identity. Acrylic paint is fast drying paint containing pigment suspension in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints can be diluted with water, but become water-resistant when dry. Depending on how much the paint is diluted (with water) or modified with acrylic gels, media, or pastes, the finished acrylic painting can resemble a watercolor or an oil painting, or have its own unique characteristics not attainable with other media.
