Background:
My name is Mick Minogue and I am a freelance Arts & Craftser working as creative director and graphic artist from the office in my head. After ruining well over 300 school books with my excessive doodling throughout my adolescent years I eventually graduated from the National College of Art & Design NCAD In 2007 with a first prize degree In Art & Design Education. After spending a few years back In school as an art teacher I decided to pursue my creative career as a artist as the doodling on school books thing had not yet subsided.
I manage all my creative projects from my little studio base In Dublin, Ireland. A lot of my work Is inspired from the archives of my childhood, referencing popular culture from the 1980s and 90s. I try not lend myself to one artistic practice as I have the creative hyperactivity of an 80s kid watching the Ghostbusters whilst drinking fizzy pop. I feel Its my duty to make and do for its all I know apart from being able to make a mean sandwich.
