Scarygirl 10th Anniversary Show
Back in 2004, Magic Pony hosted Nathan’s first North American art show “Forests Have Feelings Too” and held our very first DIY Toy Party with Nathan as the guest artist! Oh the memories! Since then, Scarygirl has become a cult character whose designer toys, online comic, game and artwork have won millions of fans world-wide. To celebrate a decade of creativity, Nathan Jurevicius has curated over 100 artists to create the Scarygirl 10 year Anniversary exhibition. Each artist has selected one of the main characters from the world of Scarygirl – Chihoohoo, Treedweller, Blister, Egg, Bunniguru, Dr Maybee, and Scary Girl and reinterpreted them in their own style. DTA (Designer Toy Awards) : 2012
The 2nd Annual Designer Toy Awards will be held at the historic Providence NYC, one of New York City's most opulent venues! Located in Midtown Manhattan, Providence NYC was formerly a church and then a recording studio, where The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Guns N' Roses, John Lenon and many other legends recorded their magic. With 35-foot cathedral ceilings, multiple levels and a world-renowned full bar and kitchen, we couldn't be happier with our home for this year's ceremony! The Designer Toy Awards will be held on October 13th, 2012 (during New York Comic-Con weekend). Doors open — and the party starts — at 8:00 pm. The first 50 non-professionals through the door will receive an awesome Goodie Bag!

Rabid, Wild & Docile
myplasticheart is excited to announce our next show opening on February 24. We have been hinting at it here on the blog, but we are finally revealing all about our next exhibit! Rabid, Wild & Docile will feature a collection of bear inspired artwork and is curated by me! You’ve seen certain characters popping up in the pop-pluralism and low-brow movements but whether it be a panda, a grizzly or a polar bear, this animal has been gracing artists’ brains and finding its way to canvases, stickers, and 3D figures for awhile now. It’s time to bring some of the greatest bear characters together in one room!

Sketchbot Custom Show 2
After the huge success of the first Sketchbot Custom Show held this past March at My Plastic Heart NYC, Sketchbot creator Steve Talkowski decided to curate a highly anticipated 2nd show for the West coast designer toy aficionados.
