Soha arrives in France

The work of Tik Ka combines classical Chinese painting, his tales and legends with cartoony characters and smiling faces of children with angelic, the "So Ha". These characters come to life through paintings and three-dimensional creations that highlight bright colors dear to the Asian pictorial tradition. Tik Ka tries to deliver an optimistic thinking, positive, easy and free to the public through stories and characters of his tires wonderful world, particularly tries to build bridges between traditional Chinese culture and younger generations. He hopes to continue the legacy of myths and traditional Chinese folklore.

OTIVM

Emilio Garcia’s OTIVM opens Thursday, May 10th at Artoyz Paris, a new series of more than 20 pieces that explores the leisure in colorful brain mappings. A trip through our minds in different states of recreation and pleasure, this exhibition will delight visitors with Emilio’s brainy sculptures made of bronze, aluminium and resin, bright gloss colors and accurate love for details.

EeerZ Invasion Tour

THERE'S AN INVASION COMING! Opening November 25th at London’s premier comic emporium Forbidden Planet, the Eeerz Invasion Tour features customs of Ubisoft’s first vinyl art toy, Eeerz. Based on their popular IP Raving Rabbids, the Eeerz figures feature the trademark floppy ears and rotund bodies that players of the games will instantly recognise, whilst also providing the perfect shape for customisers to unleash their skills. The show features around 20 custom Eeerz from over 10 established artists, including work from - Felt Mistress • Pete Fowler • Phil Corbett • Okkle • Lunartik • Triclops Robotboy • Eat Me. Drink Me • KyrstvII • Caitlin Ashford • A Little Stranger - all of which will be available for purchase at the end of the tour through Forbidden Planet’s web store.

Block Busterz

We are opening our 2nd summer collective exhibition this Thursday called Blockbusterz. With Geek-Art we’ve asked 40 artists to create a piece based on a Blockbuster from the past 30 years. Expo Fakir

Jeune artiste parisien, Fakir s'est fait connaître des amateurs de designer toys grâce à ses customs de figurines parfaitement exécutés. Il est également à l'origine du Lapin Qbiq qu'il a lui-même autoproduit. Illustrateur, character-designer, peintre et toymaker, il capte dans ses travaux toute l'énergie de ses références visuelles pour nous offrir un florilège inspiré de personnages exaltés. Avec un traité graphique très pur et des influences issues du cartoon, du graffiti, du manga ou du tatouage, l'univers de Fakir est d'une incroyable fraicheur et d'une maîtrise surprenante. Pour sa première exposition solo, l'artiste vous invite à découvrir des oeuvres inspirées de la culture japonaise. Grâce à une scénographie bien pensée, vous pénètrez aisément dans l'univers délirant de l'artiste et découvrez au fur et à mesure de la visite des céphalopodes revanchards, des chats bagarreurs, des monstres gentiment inquiétants et de nombreux personnages fantasques déclinés sur toiles, custom toys ou sérigraphies. Un travail de qualité de l'artiste qui reflète une vraie cohérence dans toutes ses oeuvres !
